JT TD Mr. Ashwin Girme, PMDTA Sec Abhishek Tamhane, Mr. Mihir Kelkar, finance secretary of Deccan Gymkhana, and the ITF supervisor Vaishali Shekatkar were also present in the opening ceremony.
A series of excellent players are competing in the event from the Asia/Oceania continent, it promises to be a week of top-quality tennis.
