Sowjanya beats third seed in Thailand
Sowjanya Bavisetti knocked out third seed Aunchisa Chanta of Thailand 6-1, 6-3 in the first round of the $15,000 ITF women’s tennis tournament in Hua Hin, Thailand, on Tuesday.
In the pre-quarterfinals, Sowjanya will play compatriot Zeel Desai who bounced back from a slow start to beat Alana Parnaby of Australia 4-6, 7-5, 6-0.
