Shatakshi Chaudhary gets past Millee Chug in Asian under-14 tennis
Shatakshi Chaudhary overcame third seed Millee Chug 7-6(6), 2-6, 7-5 in the girls pre-quarterfinals of the Sorts Boulevard Asian under-14 tennis tournament at the DLTA Complex here on Wednesday.
In the quarterfinals, Shatakshi will play Saumrita Verma who knocked out seventh seed Saneshi Willoraarchchi of Sri Lanka for the loss of five games.
In another girls match, Anannya Bhatia subdued second seed Shaneni Shrestha of Nepal 7-6(5), 6-0.
In the boys event, fifth seed Aryan Nanda had to fight his way past lucky loser Pranav Taneja 7-5, 3-6, 6-3. He will challenge the top seed Rushil Khosla in the quarterfinals.
