Sanjana Sirimalla reaches semfiinals of National sub-junior tennis
Top seed Sanjana Sirimalla battled past Divya Bhardwaj 6-4, 7-5 in the girls quarterfinals of the Yonex Sunrise National sub-junior tennis championship at the CCI in Mumbai on Thursday.
In the semifinals, Sanjana will play eighth seed Pari Singh who dismissed Reshma Maruri for the loss of three games.
In the boys section, Karan Singh, Dhruv Tangri, Krishan Hooda and Chirag Duhan made the semifinals without breaking into a sweat.
Krishan Hooda beat Ajay Singh, who had actually won his quarterfinal against Denim Yadav but an error had creeped into the draw when the result was updated.

Doubles (semifinals): Nikhil NIranjan (KA) & Denim Yadav (MP) bt Deep Munim (MP) & Arjun Gohad (MH) 6-4, 7-6(1); Ajay Singh (CH) & Krishan Hooda (CH) bt Sam Chawwla (DL) & Akash Deb (AS) 6-2, 6-1.
Girls (quarterfinals): 1-Sanjana Sirimalla (TS) bt Divya Bhardwaj (GJ) 6-4, 7-5; 8-Pari Singh (HR) bt Reshma Maruri (KA) 6-1, 6-2; 7-Renne Singla (HR) bt Vidhi Jani (GJ) 6-0, 6-2; Naisha Srivastav (KA) bt Bhumika Tripathi (MH) 6-3, 6-1.
