Vishnu-Divij in doubles finals
(ITF $ 35 K Tennis Tournament, Uzbekistan)

SATURDAY 21, August 2010.

Vishnu in partnership with Divij Sharan made the doubles final, with a 7-6(6), 6-1 victory over the second-seeded Denys Molchanov and Artem Smirnov of Ukraine.

The Indian pair will meet Gong Mao-Xin and Li Zhe of China in the final.

However, The fine run of qualifier Vishnu Vardhan came to an end as he went down fighting 3-6, 6-7(5) to the top-seeded Blaz Kavcic of Slovenia in the semifinals of the $35,000 Karshi Challenger tennis tournament in Uzbekistan.

Vishnu had won six matches on the trot, including three in the qualifying event, before bowing out of the singles. His hard work paid him 32 ATP points.
