Suraj, Prajwal, Mahitha & Nayanika triumphs

Suraj R. Prabodh, defeated Aditya Vikram 7-5, 6-2 to claim the boys under-16 singles title in the AITA Championship Series tennis tournament.

On the other hand the in-form S.D. Prajwal Dev lifts title in the boys section when he won the under-14 title with a facile 6-4, 6-1 victory over Shaurya Dhankar.

D. Mahitha beat top seed S.P. Ritu 7-5, 6-4 in the girls under-16 final.

Top-seeded Nayanika Reddy, who played strong and steady, from the baseline, beat the second seed Dhruti Venugopal 6-0, 7-5 in the under-14 section.

Boys: Under-16: Suraj R. Prabodh (Kar) bt Aditya Vikram ( Del) 7-5,6-2.

Under-14: S.D. Prajwal Dev (Kar) bt Shaurya Dhankar (Mah) 6-4, 6-1.

Girls: Under-16: D. Mahitha bt S.P. Ritu(AP) 7-5, 6-4.

Under-14: Nayanika Reddy (AP) bt Dhruti Venugopal (Kar) 6-0, 7-5 .
