Devvarman beats Chiudinelli
(Dubai Open)

WEDNESDAY 24, FEB 2010.

Qualifier Somdev Devvarman shocked World No.52 Marco Chiudinelli of Switzerland 6-4, 7-5 in the first round of the Dubai Open.

Devvarman, ranked 143 on the ATP chart, was consistent on serve, winning 76 per cent of his service points.

He will hopefully meets Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus in the second round.
