Aarzoo Malik makes final
(ITF Grade IV tournament, Delhi)

Aarzoo Malik celebrated her 16th birthday with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Seda Arantekin of Turkey in the girls' semifinals of the ITF juniors grade ‘IV' tennis tournament at the DLTA Complex here on Friday.

It was the second appearance in a final for Aarzoo. The fourth-seeded will have to tackle another player from Turkey, Basak Eraydin, who blanked Sansitha Nandakumar in the other semifinal.

Basak Eraydin won the doubles final in the company of Tarrannum Handa, with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph over Namita Bal and Prarthana Thombare.

In the boys' section, second-seeded Arjun Kadhe and Rishabdev Raman set up a title clash.

The doubles title went to Vinod Gowda and Pradeep Reddy who recovered from a disastrous start and negotiated a tricky climax to beat Suraj Konwar and Sidharth Rawat 0-6, 6-4, 12-10.

Results: Under-18 boys (semifinals): Rishabdev Raman bt Abdullah Shaikh 6-1, 6-4; Arjun Kadhe bt Vinod Gowda 6-3, 7-6(2).

Doubles (final): Vinod Gowda and Pradeep Reddy bt Suraj Konwar and Sidharth Rawat 06, 6-4, 12-10.

Under-18 girls (semifinals): Basak Eraydin (Tur) bt Sansitha Nandakumar 6-0, 6-0; Aarzoo Malik bt Seda Arantekin (Tur) 6-3, 6-2.

Doubles (final): Basak Eraydin (Tur) and Tarrannum Handa bt Namita Bal and Prarthana Thombare 6-2, 6-2 .
